Summer Road Maintenance
All roads will be assessed for winter damage in the early spring and repaired as needed by paving, patching or sealing.

Winter Road Maintenance
In order to facilitate ice and snow removal, the Road Department requests residents adhere to the following procedures:

  • Do no park vehicles along the roadway
  • Do not pile or throw snow onto the roadway
  • Do not block turnarounds
  • Do not park on turnarounds
  • Roads are treated as necessary

Fall Leaf Collection
The annual leaf collection is scheduled for the entire month of November.  Collection days are Monday and Tuesday of each week, weather permitting.  Leaves need to be raked to the edge of the roadway in piles.  Place leaves in open unrestricted areas.  Please DO NOT place on gravel.  No bags, twigs, branches, grass clippings, garbage, or pine needles will be accepted.  Branches under 6ft long and under 6 inches in diameter can be picked up and chipped by the Township Road Dept.  Please call the administration building at (724) 483-7330 and provide the pickup address.  Collection begins at 7:00am.  Leaves collected each year are recycled and return to residents as compost on a first come, first served basis.  Please contact the Township office for availability.

Yard Waste:

  • Grass and shrub clippings- The township provides a drop-off site.
  • Branch/chipping curbside pickup
  • April 1st to October 31st
  • NO TREES- NO COMMERCIAL PICKUPS
  • No longer than 6ft in length
  • No longer than 6 inches in diameter
  • Place near the road
  • Provide name, address and telephone number by calling the Administration Office
