Our History
Carroll Township was formerly a part of Nottingham and Fallowfield Townships. Inhabitants of Nottingham and Fallowfield petitioned the Court of Quarter Sessions asking that a new township be erected. In June 1934, the Commission reported in favor of a new township to be called Knox. Upon confirmation on September 8, 1934 the name was changed to Carroll.
